A new friend for my Vienna bronze animals herd :-)

I blackened his horns, hoofs and nose which showed the underneath bronze.

    Chamois are common in Alps.

Chamois - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chamois

He is 2.5" or 6.35cm long and high.

Unmarked, but old and Bergman quality.

    Small but not tiny!

On pic#1 he is presented with an Alpine stone my hubby bought me back from his long hiking last year.

Pic#3 is with a sheep's horn hubby found in the mountain during his Corsica hiking in May.

I highly appreciate those gifts as he is an ultra light back packer :-))

Thanks CW friends for visiting my critters!

      Kyra,
He's incredible!! Absolutely love this chamois! I've seen their horns used on most all of the Black Forest carvings as whip hooks. This one is just fantastic!

      Wonderful! Fantastic work in him.

As an aside we went to the village of Chamois when we were in the Aosta Valley. It's not accessible by car and the cable car to it reveals an exquisite panorama.
Didn't see any of these - they were hiding lol.

Scott, right, these amazing animals are hunted, and their distinctive horns used in many Black Forest hanging pieces! Thank you for your love and input :-)

Karen, you went for a very long trip!!!
Chamois are very shy and though commons, very hard to observe... Thank you for your interest, compliment and story!

Judy, hubby can be a sweetheart, specially when missed me after a long hike, lol!
      Thank you!

As often, you all were so many to love my post in such a short time.... I go again for a huge collective thanks to all of you, 17 chamois lovers :-D
