These photos are of the farm that my grandfather worked on when he was a boy. It was his great uncle's farm. He may or may not be one of the little boys in the front. The other men are most likely the transients he hired to work the farm for cheap. I received these from my distant cousin, the grand daughter of the farm owner.
He wasn't popular with the neighbors lol. He used to go down to the railyard and talk to the "hobos" that came in on the box cars and offer them a set of clothes, three hots and a cot, for their labor.

My ancestors were also farmers. What state did they live in?

These photo's are of a threshing outfit, ( usually custom done here in Canada). The first photo is a water tender wagon ( for the steamer ) in the background is a load of sheaves ready to be put through the threshing machine. I don't recognize the steamer in the second photo.
