    i think that this is another Japanese vase w/ a beautiful glaze job. i heard that this is a popular art in japan - these itty bitty vases. unsigned. it stands under 2.5" tall by 2.5" wide.

      These little Japanese vases with the (often) multi-colored flambe drip come in a variety of shapes and sizes. They were popular imports in the early 1970s and went well with the tie-dye psychedelia of the times. I've seen a few with ASAHI labels but most labels I've seen are the generic JAPAN blue ovals.
