Posting the last of my Rose Bowl Finds. Not many fans were made during WWII but as General Electric was a major player, one of the big four fan manufacturers, and fans were considered a necessity GE was allowed to produce fans. Oh my a run-on sentence. Anyway this model was made from 1942-1945..
This was a fairly small fan, the blade diameter is about 8 1/2". It does oscillate but there is only one speed. It does have a much paint scheme than its much larger vortalex brother. Plus it has that stylish ring that holds the motor housing. That is actually my favorite point for this fan and was the reason I bought it. Almost all fans sit on top of a pedestal mount and rotate back and forth but not to many have the ring mount.
