Found this item at a charity shop. Not sure of its origin but possibly Italian.
The base is made of alabaster, but am not sure of the material the figurine is made of. It is quite heavy though at 1.199 kilograms. It is almost 28 cms heigh and seem to be in great vintage condition with just a nick on the edge of the sleeve of the jester's raised hand and a few places where the paint has worn of slightly as seen on the photos.

Would love to find out its origin, possibly the maker, age etc.
Thanks for comments and some guidance on this!

Looks like a cast resin figure. Origin? Maker? Not possible to know, since there are no markings at all. Italy would be a safe bet.
Age? Could have been made 5 years ago or 25 years ago - it's all only guesswork. There are no other images of this figure on Google.

      Could this be hand painted?

I think he is commedia dell'arte, so the Italian bet sure is safe!
