    Another plaque my mother-in-law acquired in Canada. I think it is a Thunderbird? The initials on the back say JCA, I think?

      The Thunderbird is popular in North American Native mythology. It is said to cause thunder and lighting.

      Yes, could be. Likely you won't find the artist on the web, as these items are made for the tourist trade. The bird is a raven.
