I happen to be going to my favorite local antique store about 2 months ago, and in one of the booths there were about 40 old BB guns in 2 barrels, I always loved BB guns growing up I had received my own Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas when I was very young. I happen to notice that by the barrels there was another BB gun, I picked it up and fell in love with it! At only $35.00 I couldn’t pass this baby by! I could tell it was very old by the very High Quality of the piece and just that good old Vintage look, when I got home and researched Vintage Red Ryder, and saw the condition and prices I realized that I had practically stolen this Gun at the price I paid, some people were selling just the stock for $30! Also another reason why I purchased this gun was it was made in Good Old Michigan where I was born and raised! Plymouth to be exact, Now I’m not %100 sure about the age but I’m pretty positive it is ether an early 1950s or late 1940s model.
The condition is Exceptional for its age, since most boys toys are put through allot! Whoever had this gun had taken Very good care of this gun! Thanks for looking!

Daisy moved from Plymouth, MI to Rogers AR in 1958. The Red Ryder was introduced in 1938 and they had a gold forearm band until 1942 when the war broke out. in 1946 production started again but the band was blued. Also the fore arm was made of wood until 1954 and it was changed to plastic.
So the gun could of been produced between 1946 and 1954 right?

That's right, you have a nice Red Ryder BB gun.
i have a 1938b Red Ryder bb gun that was made in Rogers, AZ. it has a medal on the right side of the stock and the Red Ryder logo on the left. it also has a wood forearm stock. i'm confused because i thought they turned to plastic after 1954 and wasn't made in az untill 1958

Now I call this the icon of B.B. guns.Ihad one of these when I was a kid; I also had a Pump.I really enjoyed going bird hunting.I couldn't wait for Robin season.

Hey Ilikeart, Yes this baby still Fires BBs with more power then the one I received as a kid! Sorry Chuck, I was lucky to Find this in a Antique Shop... honestly from what Ive heard since these were boys toys its very Difficult to find one in good shape! Ive seen ones in this good of shape sell on websites for $100 - $200!
Hey guys how do you date these? I have one and im going too be selling it! It is wood, has red ryder logo on one side and a gold medallion on the other! I have the red ryder pocket knife as well that goes with it in the original box!!!! How much would it sell for?
First gun I shot was a Remington 870 Wingmaster 12 gauge and I can still hear my father laughing as I tried to get up off the ground. He neglected to tell me to hold it tight to my shoulder. I never got a BB gun.
