This was found in the North Fork of the American River near Colfax, California (My Grandfather's birthplace). His father came here from Switzerland, worked as a Gold Miner and died in a mining accident in 1904. It fits perfectly in my hand. I think it might be a tool for scraping or an Arrowhead? Cool find though. What do you guys think? I added another picture for perspective. It fits perfectly in my hand so I think it is a scraping tool. What do you think?

Maybe a scrapper. May I suggest that you place something like a coin next to what you post, so we have an idea of size. This could be an inch or 8 inches to us.
