Came across a box of documents containing postcards, envelopes, cancelled checks and tax receipts dating back as far as the 1860's. I believe most of them were found by my grandfather, who worked in demolition back in the 1930's and 40's in Oakland, California. These papers were stowed away and forgotten about for many years, until I inherited my grandmother's stamp collection. These documents and many others are what I have found. I am excited to find out more about them from a historical perspective.
Looks like He stayed at The Briggs House in July 1901 during the Carson City Carnival and Street Fair.
