I was pretty excited about recieving this amazing cast metal art nouveau/deco lamp until I opened it and found the base broke in half, it still stands but needs to be leaning against something. I just feel so bad that such a neat piece was ruined by careless brown paper bag packaging. I'm still curious to know if anyone has ever seen anything like it.

This IS very beautiful, the lamp with its larger base. I use body filler to fill in and rebond the broken parts if there are any. It dries extremely fast and the material bonds better than most fillers. It can be sanded somewhat, and is sold in most automotive shops. This looks to have a more recent gold paint covering so that should be easy to find at Michael's Craft stores.

Thank you so much Phil, I thought it would be an impossible task!
