Appears to be a briarwood burl pipe but I'm not qualified to guess the age or the wood for that matter. My Mom married a tough old guy that owned an antique shop as a side business and needed someone to tend the shop. Mom collected antique glassware and was quite the expert. They've both been gone for nearly 20 years and this pipe was in an antique secretary desk I inherited among some other cool stuff that belonged to my stepdad. It is most assuredly a remnant from the shop and reminds me of a happy time. It's got a makers mark but my eyes aren't up to the task. I love woodworking and just thought the wood was cool.
Could be a 1983 Ben Franklin sale item. I don't know but I'm gonna give it to my friends Dad I think.
