I love this piece due to the detailing! It has gold and rose gold accents in the face design. The piece itself is highly detailed and the clasp is in beautiful condition. It has some stamped markings which I am unfamiliar with and can only partially read (thanks to my old lady eyes). I would love help identifying this piece!
Uploaded better images of the markings...maybe it will help. I thought maybe it was H.L & Co but the markings don't match the silversmith markings listed, so I don't think that's correct. :/

This was made in England many, many moons ago. I had a brooch very similar to this one. The flowers are gold.
      Lion Passant for sterling silver.
Anchor means it was assayed in Birmingham.
      Date letter - looks like a lower case p (?) It's a bit rubbed.

The initials above are the maker's initials, which looks like "___L& Co"

This brooch is Victorian (tube hinge). I would know more if I could make out the date letter and maker's initials.

Pretty brooch, I don't think it's Liberty & Co. To me it's Victoian, it doesn't tick all the boxes. Very pretty brooch, that's the main thing.

LOwer case P date letter would be 1950's??
    6. Dizzydave Dizzydave, 8 years ago
Liberty has been around since 1875 or so

I'm sorry, I meant to say it ticks all the boxes for a Victoian brooch, it looks in a way to be Ascetic. Good luck with your research

Dizzydace, it does have a C clasp which in my opinion makes it Victorian. Yes it could be Liberty, but I personally don't think it is.

      George Loveridge and Co and I'd go for 1881 .... a lower case 'g'. 1895 would be a 'v', I think.
