Very unusual as the pattern is on the front and back of the handles and interesting figurines on top, all different.
Not sure how old this set is but it has a few markings on one of the pieces. Looks like SPAR on front and R048 or 49 on back | ||

Anyone know where these came from, what country?
I've never seen such a set as this one, but I bet it came from somewhere in Europe.
How did you acquire it?
I don't think this set is sterling silver. The casting is somewhat crude. Flatware cast in silver has very fine detail. Test it with a magnet and see if it sticks
At least two are from Italy! I can recognise the Venetian Lion and the Roma mother Wolf emblems.
What is inscribed isn't SPAR, but SPQR,

Welcome to CW:-)
Thank you all for the info. My husbands parents travelled in Europe in the 1980's and did stop in Venice and Rome. These are possibly from their trip. My Father in law was originally from Denmark and he and his first wife came to Canada in the 1950's so they also may have aquired these in Europe. They have all passed away and I have no one left to ask. Would like to figure out the other sculptures on top of the bigger fork, knife and shell spoon. Anyone?
The fleur de lis on the 2 theeth fork is for Firenze (Florencia).
On the last spoon on the right, the winged lion is for Perugia.
Found same set in same box!!!
1950's, read the complete description, they have the original paper :

Thank you so much everyone! This has been very helpful.
