This ivory ware piece is one of my many Fielding biscuit barrels. Nearly 6'' tall from top of the knob to bottom. It was made around the turn of 19th/20th century.
There is a bit confusion about Crown Devon patterns, some of them have more pattern numbers and to make this more mystifying, some numbers appear to have been applied to more than one pattern. For example this pattern on the picture is know as Royal Essex too and I saw more pattern numbers attributed to it on different pieces. Sometimes the wrong pattern name was given to the décor.
It is impossible to tell the exact number of the countless Crown Devon patterns.
This is really lovely Martika!!
Martika, so pretty! You collect them? Please, post more!!!
TassieDevil and Kyratango - thanks for your nice comments.
Kyra - I already posted quite a few Crown Devon (SF & Co or Fieldings) pieces.
I post many other things as well - glass, costume jewellery etc. anything what got me interested in that certain moment. But these years Crown Devon is my collection interest no. 1. Years ago I used to collect minerals, I still don't want to part with them.
Thanks everybody for your love clicks !!!! xxx
This couldn't be any prettier Martika.
Thank you Karen. I'm pleased you like it :)))
Thank you Trey for loving my stuff!!! xxx
