I found this nice chawan at Goodwill the other day. does anyone recognize the chop marks / seal? i'd love to know more about it.

Ha! thanks vetraio and racer! i guess that the larger mark is for red raku, which i'd never heard of.
wow! i just found this info: http://www.oldjapaninc.com/products/red-raku-tea-bowl/
the smaller mark is a kiln mark, and this is highly unusual for a piece of red raku.
i just added much clearer shots of the kiln and chop marks.
The Japanese Ceramic Collectors group on FB may be able to help further.
