I searched New Bedford bottling companies, but couldn't find anything on this. And since I don't know the brand, it's hard to do.

It is machine made, I can tell from the seams on the side. It has a crown top with the seams extending up to the lip, but not over.

The "labeling" appears to be painted on. It was made by the Glenshaw Bottling company, because of the G in the square embossed on the bottom.

On the back is a very faint "imprint" of the phrase "You have tried the best now"

I'm trying to determine the brand as well as the general age of the bottle.
It was found in the RI area.

As it's made by Glenshaw, there may be a way to date it. What two-digit numbers are on the base? Any at right or below G in square?

ACLs, or Applied Coloured Labels (looks like paint but is actually baked on) came around for milks in the early '30s. For pops they take off around the late '30s, but you rarely see an ACL till after the Depression.

As a warning, cleaning an ACL before a month or two have passed since it was taken out of the ground/water can lead to the ACL disappearing. A soft toothbrush and cool water after that, gently, can clean it a little.
