Can you help me identify this chair? Style (Boston?)- type of wood (walnut, maple?) - age - manufacturer - value.

I grew up with it n my house in during the 70s but it was my Mom's and she had it before then - could have been from her parents, I'm not sure. Not sure how old it could be. All our relatives lived in the midwest - Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana.

There is a partial company name visible on the bottom or the chair but I can't make it out. I think the top word is 'FURNITURE' and the word below seems to be fancy lettering of 'Buami,,,"?

    Any help would be appreciated.

PS. I'm not sure why the photos only upload in a rotated fashion - they are correct on my computer but always rotate on the upload. Sorry.

I don't think this is real old, but the builder selected some beautiful grained wood. I am curious about your experience with uploading pix from your computer & they come out rotated. I thought all those were from people uploading from cell phones & pads etc..

I suggest you edit each photo. Use edit and cut the size just slightly. Then save and reload the photo. It works for me.
