I bought this bracelet this afternoon from a friend - paid her $15 asking price. Not bad for 16+ grams of sterling. Normally, I have no problem identifying any Taxco jewelry that happens to fall into my hands. This bracelet has an extra set of hallmarks - something I've never seen on a Taxco piece.
Looking at various webpages about Taxco marks has not helped. I have no clue what that funny symbol is, either.
I'll keep looking...jump in if you know something!
Thanks, all..

Val - I thought about that, too. Import marks. Not a Dutch import mark. It does look to be newer than much of the Taxco I have owned. If I only knew what that funny mark represents....
Bonnie, have you seen this site? Reading the second paragraph, it kind of explains the mark above Mexico but I do not see the funny looking backwards F. A co-worker has a Taxco bracelet with the - also, but it is worn. We're going to look at it again the next time he gets in early enough.

I hope it helps as you are always very helpful to everyone. :)
Hi OGF - Yes, I've seen that page numerous times. but still have not figured out what that funny symbol is supposed to represent. It's like a pictogram, which is used by Zuni and Navajo silversmiths.
