Wrapping up the series of Douglas promotional aircraft series. I believe there were 20 of these all 7" x 9" and suitable for framing. There is artwork of the aircraft on one side and a description on the other.
This one is the Nike Missile system. What is not mentioned on the backside with the description on the backside is that the missiles had nuclear warheads. These were anti-aircraft missiles and a nuclear warhead cuts down on the need for accuracy. Some did have conventional warheads depending on where they were placed.
Filling out the last two photos are a pair of Cold War warriors. I believe photo 3 is a B-47 and of course #4 is a B-52.

Hey, I actually have a color version print of the image on the left. Very sci-fi. I wonder who did the originally artwork/painting and whether it was commissioned by the military or what?

Actually, the pic is a Nike Ajax. It was the Nike Hurcules that was nuclear capable.

Thank you very much Hunter. I think these were done by Douglass Aircraft. The art is similar in all 20 in this series.
Very cool that you have a color version.

Thank you very much NevadaBlades. A bit scary as they had these sites around US cities.
