This is quite an old chinese coffee table I own. The figures are exquisitely brought to life asif various stories are unfolding via the different characters. The legs, for instance, tells different tales and the priest sculptured on each side is different!
The table is extremely heavy. It bears all the requirements to white jade. It does not scratch.
I would appreciate it if someone, who is able to decipher ancient chinese could relate the various stories depicted on the table. The artist's signature is one of the pictures illustrated.
