Hubby and I were driving when we saw an old chair frame ..we picked it up then looked in a garbage bag we saw this picture.(it was folded).the house up over the hill had new owners so they most likely threw it away..I thought it was a girl then thought again hmmm maybe a boy..they wore dresses as well..I knew of the people who once lived in the house..the mystery was solved my aunt said it was the man of the house when he was a baby..there were other copies ..not sure of that...this is damaged but to cute to throw away..
Update...the boys name is Bernard Slauenwhite..
Looks to be a late 19th century enlargement. These were very popular and are found in both black/ gray and with tinted/ painted details.
Typically the are found in the 16 X 20 size and framed.
