Good Afternoon CW Members--- 2:00 PM)2016-7-29
Yesterday, i take some time off of working around the house since i begin my vacation time at the beginning of July and i pay a visit to my fav thrift store few time during the day, no so much during daytime, but was a very different story at 7:30 pm when i visit the Salvation Army, some of you know, that Salvation put items on the floor all day long, I am very happy to found not 1 but 2 Watercolour from the same artist, " Alfred Birdsey" I am bless to found them.
I will not change my habit to visit the thrift store many time during the day, one habit i will probably change soon....stop working and do this full time(much more money to be made for sure), at $7.99 each and realize they worth much more, very good investment.
This one depicted some Bermuda homes, typical theme Birdsey use for tourist.

This artwork frame measure 27 inch by 22.75 inch
Medium 22 inch by 17.50 inch.

    Thanks Everyone for Viewing.
    Alan

    ---------------Alfred Birdsey Bermudan/British (1912 - 1996)------------------

Alfred Birdsey was a watercolor painter in Bermuda known for his landscapes of Hamilton, St. Georges and the surrounding sailboats, homes, and bays of Bermuda. He also did mural work in Boston, New York and Bermuda.

Of him in a 2012 tourist guide, Elbow Beach Cycles, it is written: "The paintings of Alfred Birdsey played an important part in changing the way Bermuda was seen abroad and became regular additions to many collections around the world. Alfred Birdsey is most known for his impressionistic representations of the island landscapes, harbours, boats, backstreets, seascapes, homes and bays. Some of the paintings also have an Asian influence."

    NOTE
    --------------------------The Birdsey Studio Bermuda-----------------------------

Located in Bermuda's Paget parish and at a convenient distance from Hamilton City, The Birdsey Studio was opened by Alfred Birdsey, who went on to become an artist of international repute. Alfred had passed away in the year 1996. His daughter Jo Birdsey Linberg has carried on the tradition. The studio is setup in a garden setting in his family home Rosecote since 1968. There was a time when Alfred used to hang his paintings from a clothesline.

Alfred Birdsey specialized in impressionistic paintings of Bermuda's landscapes, harbors, back streets, boats and many such subjects. Many have collected his paintings for the purpose of meditation. He used to be a very friendly person and always liked chatting with visitors, often offering them tea. Alfred's original paintings have been reprinted and are available in the studio in form of note cards.

His daughter Jo too will make you feel at home. She is herself a self established artist. Her paintings focus on nautical themes, breezy landscapes and even animals. Her love for life and Bermuda are evident in her paintings. She is a scholar in Latin, a musician and a mother. The studio is located at the home's back garden.
