Hello everyone.
This is a recent purchase which I think is pretty special.....it is only the second one I have ever seen.
It is marked JAPAN on one side and 1947 on the other and the plaque on the top has the King's crown (Geo VI) with "British Commonwealth Forces" on the banner.
I will post a link to the Australian War Memorial site for those who might like to have a read about this period.
Thanks, Judy

What a great ring!! Great find Judy!!
Oh wow, that's really something!
Thanks Scott....pretty special I think, thanks for your appreciation!
Thanks Bonnie, yes it is and will probably be one that will be donated to the AWM at some stage if they don't have one.
Fascinating piece of history there Judy. I'm not sure how you manage to find things like this. I'm sure the War Memorial would be interested in it even if you don't gift it.
Your Australian jewellery collection is so awesome.
Thanks Karen...I do like things with a history. I do a lot of looking on line in the evening while sort of watching tv...just idle scrolling, not looking for anything in particular....just waiting until something jumps out at me.....and this one did! I also think I seem to learn more about what is out there in the market by doing it this way, even if I can't afford it! Never know when I might spot something good at a market then......
I'm glad you like my collection, thank you :-)
Really appreciate the love and interest Scott, Bonnie, fleafinder and PhilDMorris, thank you!
