This is one of my favorite paintings. I used my mother's inheritance to me to purchase this small painting because I loved it. I had entered this on this site previously but I wanted to show the results once it had been cleaned and conserved.
Jacques Ourtal is a painter born in Carcassonne France on 8 October 1868 and death 23 September 1962 . He specialized large decorative compositions to historical or religious themes . He painted many landscapes of the Aude.
Phot0 #3 is his self portrait
Apart from Carcassonne, in the street that bears his name, he lived in Fontiers-Cabardès where he owned a workshop (the street bears his name as well).
Some of his works can be seen at the Museum of Fine Arts in Carcassonne or in the salons of the Hotel de la Cité.
Saint-Jean-de-Luz (Basque: Donibane Lohizune , Spanish: San Juan de Luz) is a commune in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques section in south-western France. Saint-Jean-de-Luz is part of the Basque province of Labourd (Lapurdi).
EXTRAORDINARY - WHAT AN INHERITANCE !!!!
The fact is, money in the Bank will not grown as faster then the investment you just made, fabulous gem.
Congrats

Alan
