I have 2 pieces that I have from my in-laws that have since passed away. They were born and raised in Italy and were 100 years old when they passed. My husband and I would now like to sell these 2 pieces but we are not sure if they are Murano. They are well made and have beautiful colors.
This is a good site to research the pheasant:

As regards valuations .... We are not valuers.
I'd check out ebay for similar items.

Thank you so very much. I wasn't sure if they were from Murano Italy.
Hi. Do you have a local auction house? That's probably the best place to get the pieces evaluated and valued. I personally think the vase could be Murano. The flat polished base looks right. However I'm not so sure about the pheasant. From your image it looks like the base is hollow and has not been polished but simply ground (i.e. rough). Did your in-laws never talk about where they got the pieces?
Hi, My in-laws didn't mention anything regarding the pieces. I do know that they grew up in Italy and his dad went back every year.
