I got this rocker from my grandmother's attic. Looking to identify the time period. My aunt remembers rocking my uncle in the early 50's and it was old then. I am planning to have the rocker reupholstered as there are many layers of fabric tacked onto the wooden frame. We cannot find any markings on the chair. I am not sure how the seat should be done, as I cannot find anything close to this chair when searching the internet.

Its like an Empire style chair/rocker but more simplistic, cira early 1900's. Probably cut down from what was once a chair.
