    This is a unique piece that my grandmother recently gave me. It's a 20" tall hand-painted table lamp, either ceramic or porcelain. Based on the bottom markings, I assume it was made in the Bassano region of Italy. Other than that, I've been unable to find much information on it, especially when it comes to the maker's mark, which appears to be the letter 'R' with a crown or sunburst above it (?).

      Apparently the region of Bassano di Grappa is not only famous for the liquor also because of the ceramics. Maybe you can contact the museum of the region for more info:

      Celiene, there wasn't a bulb in when I took the pics. But if you look closely at the 2ND pic you'll see a yellow socket between the spokes & above the bird's head.
