Looking for any information about the shoulder pin and the Germany patch. Family would like to find out about the jacket and no one wants to talk about it. The uniform looks to be from WW2 and the person was in the 5th arm corps and received the good conduct medal.
Looks like Dress Green uniform which would put it in the 1950s at the earliest. Should be a label inside to get a specific dating.
Tab was not authorized for official wear, but was often purchased and worn when a soldier was going home (discharged from service).
The shoulder pin is a distinctive unit insignia (DUI), often called "unit crests" by soldiers. They identify a unit of service below the patch level.

I agree with everything Scott said. The DUI is for the 32nd Signal Battalion, and the design of the insignia dates it no earlier than 1955. He also seems to have signal branch insignia on his collar. The Sergeant also has the green felt combat leaders identification under the DUI, which was unusual for a support unit like a corps signal battalion before 2003.
Like Scot said, check for a contract label inside the jacket. If the date isn't clear, post the information, including numbers you find on the label and I'll try to date it for you.
