French Soldiers African Painting Signed Atelier G (or 6) Baza Bangui

I have been really curious about this one. At first I thought it was a print on canvas but turns out, I can see the pencil drawing of the scene underneath when held to a bright light. Also see pencil lines outlining the edge.
I see that it is French Soldiers and from Bangui but I can't find anything online about a Studio G or Studio 6 in Baza, Bangui.

Anyone have a clue?
