John M McLauren or maybe McLarnow? Vintage novelty ashtray

I'm not sure if I spelled the name correctly. If anyone knows anything about this ashtray or ash tray...like who signed it or if this is a company name? What era it may be from?

The lit cigarette is raised so it's supposed to look like there's a real cigarette in the ashtray.
