The tentative question mark because I am unsure on this one, like so much tango, but interesting handles and interesting rims make an ID more possible. I haven't seen a corollary, but am instinctively saying Kralik, having first leant towardsWelz or "Ceska Lipa"!

    It is 19cm high.

Instinct would lead me in the same direction....

A lot of leaning, Ian, and another pair of double handles!

This shape appears in the BB Catalogs (Monograph 121) from Fall 1928 and Feb 1929, but listed in various shades of transparent glass with contrasting handles. Maybe it was adapted for tango ware subsequently. Don't know if this helps with attribution though.

I see what you mean about the similarity but I don't think it's enough to give a maker: there are also differences. It does appear next to a fan vase in each case but not in the same grouping.

Yes, I should have said the shapes are SIMILAR. The proportions of the neck and body have been reversed, with resultant differences in applied handles. I am fairly certain I have seen these pieces in both configurations and I have always regarded them (maybe incorrectly) as being from the same maker. But I remain uncertain that they are Kralik production. A quick search has revealed some posts including the two pieces accompanying the SIMILAR shape in BB. They are usually attributed to Kralik, so by extrapolation, yours would be too. But, as I said, I remain unconvinced. I wonder if anyone has one of these pieces with the usually accepted Kralik arched mark???? That would be very interesting.

      And this one:

showing that the same shapes were produced in transparent (above link) and tango ware.

This is the uncertainty of Butler Bros and Czech Art Deco glass in a nutshell! I am intrigued by all the links like you.

If everything were marked, including in the UK, that would be a boon.

Yes, on that we can ALL agree. But then, where would be the thrill of detective work, intuition and gut feeling?! It's that old cliche of enjoying the journey, not the destination. :)
