So this is one of those unusual ones: spatter or confetti for me equals immediate love, and this has a clear ground and mirrored sheen, that I think points to Kralik. However, I am aware that there was cross-pollination from France, Belgium, Germany, the U.K. and Czechoslovakia. So open to opinion and thought.
It was bought from France and is unmarked.
It is a sub-massive 28cm high with a 13.7cm rim diameter.
Information is: Scailmont, so adjusted accordingly.
The shape is vaguely reminiscent of a Kralik eggshell shape although the glass is less fine: the foot is hollow as per the eggshell I have.
I always thought this decor was Scailmont (Belgian)??
Big and beautiful!!
Several others are going Scailmont as well. So I will add it to my pile of nearly-Czech!
I have a soft spot for Scailmont spatter, pulled and marble decors. And I love this piece - just wondering, did it come with a small chip to the rim?
Yes, it did, Phil, but, taking a risk, the damage was minuscule.
Cool....again super piece - well done!
Very NICE INDEED !!!!
