I've had this vase for many years. I started collecting art glass about 22 years ago when Loetz was frankly fetching better prices than it does now. I was lucky to acquire this piece from a 'mentor collector' who introduced me to Loetz and it was from there that I became interested in both Bohemian Art Nouveau and Art Deco glass.
I don't buy very much Loetz these days, as 22 years later, married with three teenage children, I can't justify the self indulgences of the past. I've sold some of my Loetz pieces to finance my Art Deco glass collection these days - as you get more contemporary design and colour for your buck - and a lot more pieces.
But I'm still holding back some of my favourites and I'm still looking for that occasional quality Loetz piece....... at a bargain price that its!
10" H (22cm)
And this to top it off !!!! WOW !!!

GORGEOUS!!!
Hi Phil ... Another Beauty!
Wondering if you have a backlit pic / version of this ... still not all that clear myself on what constitutes Mountain Blue and Backlighting brings out the glass color nicely in PG 6893 ...
I could post another pic but I'm not sure it will help - basically it is the 'base colour' of the glass itself - the ground. It can be seen most clearly in Pic 3 the light blue stripes you can see are areas of the glass that are not iridised. So not green, gold or cobalt but a light blue (Mountain Blue).
Thanks Phil .
