Sweet cigarette case, wish I knew more about it

Anyone know anything about a cigarette case such as this?

Appears to be brass, black and clear plastic. The plastic is on the thick side which allowed for the etching on the interior clear portion with is done in a wonderful 3D effect.

Would like to know more about this piece. Got it on an estate sale but know little about the previous owner to deduct anything.
