I was visiting my storage unit when I noticed an ornate broken chair part. I asked if it was alright if I claimed it thinking it would make a beautiful shelf when she offered me the other 5 chairs. She told me they had belonged to her Grandmother and were over a hundred years old. The dining table is still being used by a family member and was found in an 1888 Sears catalog. It is unknown if the chairs belonged to the table or not. They have been well used and need a lot of love. I am pretty sure the fabric is not original to the piece. They also appear to have the original wood finish. They also have wheels on the front legs.
I am hoping someone can help me identify them so I know what avenue of restoration to pursue. She said the missing part to the broken chair was probably somewhere in the storage building, so I gave her my number. Unfortunately, I have never heard back from her.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
