I found this at the Salvation Army a few weeks back.
It looks to be brass coated Copper, and to be a Bed Warmer, that is labelled "ELPEC England". I checked out ebay and etsy, and there is lots of ELPEC stuff looking to be from the company Lloyd Pascal & Co, that started in the 1920's with ELPEC, but most of the stuff is Novelty stuff for hanging on walls.
SO I have 2 burning questions:
1- Is this from the 1920's, 30's 40's help, I have no clue.
2-Is this a REAL useable bed warmer, or a Novelty wall decoration. It looks sturdy enough to be used but I am not sure.
It looks like a teabag or lemon strainer.
Looks like a popcorn popper to me. Bed warmers I have seen are flatter & larger in diameter.
A bed warmer would have a wood handle part.
Oh and way larger too!

The ELPEC Company was registered in 1919 by C E Pascal & P Lloyd. It was initially a brassfounders and then specialised in reproduction copper and brassware initially based on Belgian designs.
The 'ELPEC' trade name was formed from the initials of the two founders and was used mainly on items where the design had been protected by registration.
Lloyd Pascal & Co, was 1st located at 303, Bloomsbury Street, Nechells.
They moved to their next location at 71-74 Ford Street, Hockley, (Jewellery Quarter) Birmingham 18 in 1933 just prior to WW2, and then towards wars end in 1943 they made their final move to 71-74 Ford Street, Hockley, (Jewellery Quarter) Birmingham 18, then Cherry Wood Road.
