Hi CW Gang:
Thought I would post a pic of an old toy of mine that I carried around for me for years. All I remember about it - is that my parents had came to town to buy some furniture ( a bed I think) and the store had this on the bed also. I fell in Love with it and my Dad would not do the *DEAL* till the salesman threw in the Bunny for me. I am guessing I was around 6 or 7 years old as a Guess. He has in my room, then the basement on the farm, around smokers in that day. Bought with me when I moved, and carried around to all my places I moved to in 50 years. I hate to say it that finally I had to let him go as he was just getting to dirty from the years carried around and smoke. In 2014 -- I had to let him go to Bunny Rabbit *Heaven*. I do regret it, but I just had too. All I can tell you is that:
~ From around the 1960;s era
~ Packed with like Styrofoam small chunks or something like that.
~ His ears DID stand up at one time as they had wires in them but over the years they flopped forward.
~ About 3 feet tall
I sometimes wonder about him, and who might have been his maker. I also regret letting his pass over to Toy heaven. I wonder if the amazing CW Gang can help me find his lost heritage.
Thanks for LOOKING // LOVING !!
~ Rose ~
=====================
Rose, he is adorable! What a shame you had to let him go.....but he did have a long life and obviously was much loved!
Very nice rabbit. Sorry to hear he is in toy heaven.
Like something in Alice in Wonderland !~
Oh Rose, He's wonderful!! So sorry you had to let him go, but such a wonderful story behind this little fella!! I'm keeping the little duck that my oldest son wouldn't sleep without and the little pig that my youngest son wouldn't go anywhere without, when they were 1 1/2 to 2 years old. They're 19 and 21 now. So, I'll wait until they have children of their own before handing them over:)
Great Wabbit and story. Your dad loved you to deal this in!!
Hi Rose - I'm sorry I'm not responding to this post, but I wanted to ask you about a recent discussion about black glass. I have it in my head that you were part of it, but I can't find the record of it. Do you remember anything about it?
All the best (from Gillian in Toronto, uprooted from the UK)
Thanks Gillian, I think you were meaning this topic...about Black Glass. Here it is, as some other glassie added info on black glass too:

Hey Gillian -- are you one of Skipper's castaway from the show? Is that were you got the name? I loved that show GILLIGAN ISLAND ....
My name is pronounced with s soft G, as in George. No, not named for the show - way after I was born. In England it's a fairly common name, in the U.S. and Canada it would be spelt with a J. Jill is a name you hear more often in the U.S. and Canada.
People used to call me Gill (like a fish Gill), and I absolutely hate being called that. So, Gillian it is, not Gilligan!
Thanks for finding the black glass info. for me.
Such a shame you let him go Rosie, he looks in great condition. It's sad that after getting rid of something we later have seller's remorse :(
Did you get my email?
Hi Rick......So true, except he was not sold. His ears were floppy now, he has lost his full nose, missing his bow-tie, and yellow with age ( as my parents were smokers ). Plus my son had used him for a punching bag a couple times ( until I caught him ) and then he never did, and he I told him how many years I have been carrying him around. Sometimes.........................we have to let go of things
Yup....you got mail !!
3 FEET TALL!!!
