Snakeskin, Suede & Leather Handbag, 1940s/1950s, Thrift Shop Find $2.50

This handbag was sold in a now defunct upscale shop in my neck of the woods. The retailer's label is inside: "Piet Eygelshoven Heerlen-Geleen". I took this bag with me to the pawn shop, and the woman who works with Geri told me that she remembers the shop and that they closed about 3-4 years ago. Shoes were also sold there to the tune of $125.00 and up. She took a good look at the purse and said she would have expected it to retail for $150.00 or more. Yikes....
This handbag doesn't show any signs of daily use, so maybe whoever owned it only used it for special occasions.
