I picked this up today before work. I'd say the plug dates to the early 1930s.

The shade is made of Mother of Pearl and the lamp is textured feathered in brass and black.

The 250 volt bulb is also vintage.

I'm not sure about the base and what those extra pieces are for?

Would probably have had a simple shade that snaps onto the top of the light bulb. Still a neat old lamp. I would be careful with that old bulb.

Don't know anything about lamps except how to turn them on and off, and even that's a challenge sometimes, but I was going to say the same thing as Fort: "Be careful with that old bulb!"

250 volt seems to be the standard of the earlier 1900s electrical items.

      The lamp looks great nonetheless.
