Early Fenton Piece???

I picked up this piece a year or so ago and have been trying to ID it since then. I believe it to be an early Fenton piece, but not 100% sure. It has most of what I thing a piece of Fenton should have, but what do I know. Any help would be appreciated. It is not marked or signed, but is hand painted and has a very nice early pontil mark.
