Mystery...have seen another on Internet no one knows

Estate sale find, ceramic cats with bronze metallic glaze, the chest is painted in a flat matte black paint.

Has a sticker on the wood...I find nothing from Internet searches.

Did find a similar pair of cats on eBay, they had a ink stamp on the bottom and a bit more detail I think the mold impression of an alpha and number.

These cats stand 12" without the wood the wood is about 1" thick.
