    Hi,

I got this at an auction, I'm not sure what it was used for.

The green stuff that dripped down on it, is hard as glass.

It measures 4 1/2" high and it resembles an octagon shape. On the bottom it has Japan.

Thank you for any information that you can help me with.

    Marlene

We used something similar when mounting eye glass lens for grinding. We call it "pitch" . When we finished, we put the lens on the mount in a cooler & they popped loose. Our hot pitch came from a machine made for just that & not an alcohol lamp.

Used for the same purpose, so probably the same sh-t.
