This is a brooch of a figure in Siam Sterling, which I think dates back to between 1939 and 1945. It's very tarnished but I love the iridescent colours that the tarnish has left on the surface, purples and blues and reds - I wouldn't like to clean it! I've seen more detailed brooches and some that have been enamelled, but I like this one the way it is. It's quite large, 2.5" long.
I found the figure described as a "Classical Female Dancer" on an illustration here (bottom left) although this figure is plain silver rather than Nielloware: http://www.siamman.com/figs.html
(see my post with the earrings it was found stored with here for more of the story http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/200742-siam-sterling-nielloware-clip-on-earring?in=user).
