Shirley Temple. This 'Quarterly' Earnings Record verifies that during
this 13 week period, Shirley Temple worked a total of 48 hours and was
paid (Remember this was during the Great Depression) $26,999.91,
an amount that would be the equivalent of $445,972.47 in the year
2013.
In 1950, Shirley Temple, the most famous child-star in the history of
Motion Pictures, completely retired from acting at the age of 22 . . .
