This is a very special item in the family, it was passed down to me from my grandfather a few years back. The pouch in which it sits was produced by his father prior 1914 whilst on board a cargo vessel, and i'm told it was either Lamport & Holt's Vandyck or the HMHS Britannic. The watch itself is 14K half hunter, manufactured by the Lever Brothers New York.
Hope you like it as much as I do!
Very nice, thanks for sharing!
A beautiful family piece!!!
Your watch is known as a "Private Label". Lever Brothers could have been a Jeweler in New York.
Your watch is manufactured by the Seth Thomas Co. of Thomaston, Connecticut.
It is a Model 2
12 size
Lever set
3/4 plate movement.
Serial no. 548848 would have been manufactured around 1894.
Nice watch & pouch.

Sorry, it is an 18 size. I hit the wrong key.

Your case screws look loose.
Thanks @TassieDevil, and I plan to clean it and restore it properly @pops52 when I get the time, cheers! @pw-collector appreciate the information, do you know where you found this so I could follow the trail? Lever Bros probably contracted the work, I'm unsure as to whether it is THE Lever Brothers famous for their soap/cosmetic industry in New York.
Much more to discover!
