I got quite excited when I thought I had found a 350 BC Egyptian bronze Ibis artifact but alas it appears to be a fake. There are so many fakes out there you really have to beware. Mind you fakes are becoming so cleverly done it may be an idea to start collecting fakes! at least it is a cheaper way of collecting items you love but can never afford. We seem to be living more and more in a virtual world these days, so who knows that may be fake too?(ya right!)
Absolutely incredible! Wonderful find!
I've been living in a virtual reality world for decades, but agree about the fakes. Problem is, the fakes can be so good, that they are still fooling (even experts) & won't admit that what they are making, and or peddling is a fake. Face it, they are still getting great market prices. So, how do you buy fakes & win. I had one seller that I knew was selling duplicates of fakes & they were good. I openly approached them explaining that I knew what they were doing & was willing to pay a reasonable price for a fake. We worked out a deal at half price & both walked away without another word. I label it as fake even though nobody here would know. What I did was the exception !
You may just have set a trend blunderbuss!
