Stands about 7.25" at the tallest, the trunk. It is about 9" long and 4" at the widest.

The surface is animal base, I really do not think it is man made (I'm about 100% sure it's not man made), however it has been "formed" over a hollow frame since I can hear a small something rattling around in the interior.

The "ivory/bone/horn like material" is hard, you can see that it is veined like ivory or bone, it was glued/afixed and then smoothed to make the shape.

I'm hoping someone can get my search on the right track.

I have one exactly like it I think it's about 50 years old but it's grey and ivory kind of swirled trying to figure out what it's worth in anything about it

I have yet to learn anything about it. I know it is old but have no idea of where it came from, or how it was made.

It's made from crushed oyster shells-I have three of them :)
