Vase stands nearly 10" (25 cm) tall, 3 1/4" (8 cm) across the mouth, and displays a joyous spatter of white, blue, and yellow on a red ground. The pictures make it look like it might be satin but it is not - it is sturdily cased with shiny clear glass. The underside is clearly marked with "Made in Czechoslovakia" surrounding a tri-divided circle with the letters FBS. You'd think that would be an easy one but I guess I just haven't looked in enough places.
Any help?
Well I think I know and you won't read this elsewhere:
There are two similar marks OOF and FBS.
They are both acronyms.
Sometimes they are seen with Made in Czechoslovakia and sometimes with Italy, France, Scotland etc..
Here is where I differ from others on the net :
The earlier mark is OOF.
It is the mark of Oscar O. Friedlaender ... 234 East 60Th St., New York, New York.
The FBS mark is later after the company was transferred to his three children.
The FBS is for Friedlaender, Belmuth & Stiefler, Owners, Importers and Manufacturers.
Thank you very much. This seems to muddy the picture as to who is marking the pieces. Friedlaender is clearly an importer - any thoughts on who made the piece?
I really do not know the maker. Might be Rueckl. But only a guess.

Further to the information that Kev provided above.
I have just seen an obviously French piece of artglass which has the FBS Mark. I also came across information on FBS on the Monart website - and it seems that site is suggesting that the FBS Mark is also the name of a US importer. As suggested above by Kevin ...
