    This jar is 9 inches tall including the glass lid. It is in excellent condition the word "tight" is embossed on front and back of the lip. Wire is rusty. the word "EMPIRE" is in stippled cross on front only bottom has no markings just a small circle.
    I would like to know its value.

      Maker of this jar is unknown. You can find them in half pint, pint, quart and half gallon sizes. Probably made prior to 1920.
