This brooch was bought from the same stall holder as the 18K gold Peruvian brooch and beautiful costume jewelry horse. The stamps looked a bit "iffy" to me, but the color told me it was gold. I took it to Geri for testing and she ran 4 tests - all positive for 18K. I also took it to the jeweler and was told that it is absolutely gold and the pin is sterling silver. The reason is because silver is stronger than 18k gold.
I guess I had a good Sunday. :-))))
When was your last bad Sunday? Lovely brooch - don't they see you coming and lock the door real quick?
Clever. I would like to have your ability to pick out the real bargains from the junk.
Efesgirl - please can you drop in on the "Itching Santa" bottle post, do you know how to make pics right-side-up.
Thank you so much.
Good Sunday, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :P
WoW!! What a steal:)
LOL@Gillian! These people have no clue what they are selling, even when there is a double stamp on the piece of jewelry. I will go look at Itchy Santa - haha!
martika - it comes from years of making mistakes....
@Gillian - post me the link, I don't know exactly what I'm looking for...
